The ideal candidate will voice strong opinions about website development and design choices.  This individual should take pride in their knowledge of other site architectures and those sites’ usage of key techniques.  If you can easily reproduce the front-end functionality of almost any website, both in look and behavior, you're exactly who we'd like to meet.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a web-based, scalable UI infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership in design and implementation.
  • Ensure applications are highly scalable and highly interactive.
  • Work with UI engineers to rapidly convert designs, prototypes and mockups to production quality user interfaces.
  • Research, recommend and integrate emerging web application technologies.

Required Skills /Experience:

  • Strong programming skills with focus on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Highly analytical style and comfort with complex ideas.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience developing large scale web applications.
  • Experience building extremely robust, usable, and scalable software.
  • Experience with all elements of website creation process.
  • Experience resolving cross-browser design issues.
  • Experience in product development through multiple releases.
  • Familiarity with diverse technologies including databases, programming languages, web servers and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with standard development processes like source control, bug tracking, and the Eclipse IDE.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interact well with internal teams and external customers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, creative, environment.
  • Ability to make good decisions based on incomplete information.
  • Interest in theories of website usability and usability research.
