Customer Program Manager

Job Summary

Customer Program Managers (CPMs) have the responsibility of leading multiple customer project teams, managing to customer milestones and deliverables. Must have interest in working in a fast-paced, creative environment, developing (not just following) processes that will ensure success.  This position must share its learnings so that the entire CPM team is strengthened. 

Job Responsibilities
  • CPM is expected to work collaboratively with SVTC resources and customer resources in order to establish detailed project plans and deliverables.  
  • Manage commercial discussions with customers (e.g. contract compliance, financials, change orders) and lead regular update meetings with customer management. 
  • Manage customer start-ups, including orientation and training; act as liaison to on-site customer workers.
  • Must ensure team compliance with confidentiality and security protocols to accomplish deliverables and protect each party's IP.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering required. MBA a plus.  
  • 8 years program management experience, working directly with customers on technology projects, is required. Demonstrated ability to lead teams; manage to budget, time lines and milestones; and align expectations.
  • Experience with government funded projects/programs a plus; experience in semiconductors or in bio/med a plus.  APICS and/or PMI certification desirable.
  • Experience with ISO and ITAR helpful. 
  • Experience with establishing SOPs, and working systemically to identify risk and proactively develop solutions is a must.
  • Successful candidate will exhibit and have experience with:

  • communicating at all levels inside and outside company;
  • The ability to demonstrate and inspire customer empathy is key to success in this role. 

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess outstanding communication skills;  should be comfortable making presentations
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must have strong MS Office skills
  • Must be capable of working in a clean room (may include stooping, kneeling, bending in full clean room suit)
  • Safety glasses are required within the fab, must be able to discern color variations when checking customer wafers.
  • Some parts of the fab may require hearing protection.
  • Must be fluent in verbal and written English
