Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Type: Full time, Exempt
Location: San Jose, CA
Key Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities of this Position:
Reports to the Corporate Controller.
As Manager of General Ledger, this position will be responsible for accurate and timely close and consolidations every month.
Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.
Collaborates with other finance and department managers to support overall finance and corporate objectives.
Coordinates and manages yearend audit process.
Ensures timely account reconciliations and journal entry approvals.
Supervises one senior accountant.
Key participant in cash planning and forecasting.
Manages annual property and casualty insurance renewal.
Supports budgeting and forecasting activities.
Supports Corporate Controller with special projects.
Attributes required to be Successful:
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Technical Skills: Minimum five to seven years prior supervisory experience in the reporting/general ledger area. Experience with large accounting systems preferred.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Training Required:
BA/BS in Business (Accounting Preferred)
10+ years in Accounting plus management experience
